Rooftop.Camp Host Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

   By becoming a host on the Rooftop.Camp platform, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with these terms, you should not use our platform.

2. Host Responsibilities

   As a host on Rooftop.Camp, you agree to:

   • Provide accurate and complete information about your campsite, including pricing, availability, and amenities.
   • Maintain a safe and welcoming environment for guests.
   • Respond promptly to guest inquiries and booking requests.
   • Ensure that your campsite complies with all applicable laws and regulations.
   • Communicate openly and honestly with guests regarding any changes, issues, or cancellations.
   • Keep your listing up to date and accurately represent your campsite.

3. Claiming a Campsite

   As a host on Rooftop.Camp, you can claim a campsite under the following conditions:

   • You must provide verifiable proof of ownership or legal rights to operate the campsite.
   • The campsite must adhere to all quality and safety standards as specified by Rooftop.Camp.
   • You agree to ensure that all information pertaining to your campsite on the platform remains accurate and up-to-date.
   • Your request to claim a campsite will undergo a thorough review process by Rooftop.Camp administrators and is subject to their approval.
   • Upon approval, you must continue to meet all obligations outlined under the Host Responsibilities section within these Terms of Service.

   Rooftop.Camp does not charge any fees for claiming your campsite. Additionally, hosts are permitted to include a direct link to their own website or booking system within their Rooftop.Camp listing. This feature is designed to enhance your control over the booking process while maintaining the visibility and reach provided by the Rooftop.Camp platform. Please note, when bookings are made through this external link, Rooftop.Camp does not collect a booking deposit from guests.

   Note: Claiming a campsite on Rooftop.Camp comes with the responsibility to adhere to our community standards and service expectations.

4. Booking Deposit and Payments

   • Direct Website/Booking System Linking: Hosts now have the option to include a direct link to their own website or booking system in their Rooftop.Camp listing. When bookings are made through this direct link, Rooftop.Camp does not collect a booking deposit from guests. This feature is designed to give hosts greater control over their booking process while still benefiting from the visibility provided by Rooftop.Camp.
   
   
   • Rooftop.Camp may collect a non-refundable booking deposit from guests during the booking process to confirm their reservations. This deposit helps manage bookings effectively.
   • The remaining payment for the booking (price per night you specify) will be made directly to the host, either in cash or by card, upon the guest's arrival at the campsite.
   • Hosts are responsible for specifying their own payment methods and ensuring secure payment processing.

5. Cancellation and Refunds

   • Hosts are responsible for specifying their own cancellation policies.
   • If you must cancel a guest's booking, you agree to do so as early as possible, and Rooftop.Camp may assist in finding alternative accommodations for the guest.

6. Liability and Insurance

   • Rooftop.Camp does not provide insurance coverage for hosts. Hosts are encouraged to obtain appropriate insurance coverage for their campsite.
   • Hosts are solely responsible for any damages or injuries that occur on their property, and Rooftop.Camp is not liable for any such incidents.

7. Termination

   • Rooftop.Camp reserves the right to terminate a host's account for any violation of these Terms of Service or any other reason deemed appropriate by Rooftop.Camp.

8. Changes to Terms

   • Rooftop.Camp may update these Terms of Service from time to time, and hosts will be notified of any changes. Continued use of the platform after such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
